The Atelier Process

Every piece begins

with a line.

Five stages, each as deliberate as the last. From the first conversation to the final burnish — nothing is rushed, because nothing can be.

First Conversation

We speak not of dimensions, but of life — how the object will be used, what it should communicate, which materials resonate. From this dialogue, a direction emerges.

Form & Proportion

Our atelier sketches the object in full. Proportions are refined against the golden section. Every dimension serves the hand that will hold it, the eye that will behold it.

Material Selection

Nile crocodile. Himalayan python. South American ostrich. Each hide is selected in person for grain, character, and how it takes a burnish. No two pieces share the same leather.

The Master Pattern

Every piece begins as a flat pattern cut in card. Panels are laid against the leather to confirm grain direction and scale repeat before a single cut is made in the final hide.

Atelier Production

Our craftspeople work without machines. Every stitch is placed by hand. Every edge is pared, folded, and burnished to a glass finish. The time this takes is precisely the point.

Your commission takes roughly eight to twelve weeks.
